La Fosse is partnering with a UK-based client to find a skilled Test Lead who can spearhead the Quality Assurance (QA) and testing efforts across the business. This role is crucial in enhancing the company's QA capabilities and ensuring the quality of critical systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA and manual testing, particularly with business-critical systems. They will lead and mentor a QA team, develop and implement comprehensive testing frameworks and processes, and ensure thorough testing across multiple platforms and technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a QA team, providing direction and support in testing strategies and methodologies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing frameworks and processes that ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Ensure thorough testing across multiple platforms and technologies, managing the full QA lifecycle from planning to defect resolution.
- Participate in Agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban, promoting continuous testing and feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Engage with third-party vendors and suppliers to support system implementation and factory acceptance testing.
- Extensive experience in QA and manual testing, particularly with business-critical systems.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of testers, with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Industry experience in environments such as: Warehouses, Logistics, biomedical research or healthcare
- Backend Oracle experience
- AWS cloud
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with a focus on embedding QA practices early in the development process.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing relationships and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
