Job Opportunity for Experienced Solicitor

Brett Wilson LLP, a leading specialist in media and communications law, is seeking an experienced civil litigation solicitor to join its busy litigation boutique in London.

The successful applicant will undertake a mixture of media and communications law work, including defamation, privacy, and harassment cases, as well as general civil litigation, primarily commercial and business disputes, and civil fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a mixture of media and communications law work, including defamation, privacy, and harassment cases
  • Conduct general civil litigation, primarily commercial and business disputes, and civil fraud
  • Take instructions from clients, run their own caseload, and progress matters with minimal supervision
  • Produce high-quality written work, including court documents and client communications
  • Develop and maintain excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in media and communications law

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in civil litigation, relative to their PQE
  • Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Practical understanding of the internet and social media
