About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Salvation Army Trading Co. Ltd. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our charity retail store, ensuring that we provide a high-quality service to our donors, customers, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock management, customer service, and sales.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of paid colleagues and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage a bank of skilled and general volunteers to assist with store operations.
  • Community Engagement: Establish links with local businesses, Salvation Army Corps, and individuals within the community to provide donations and volunteer support.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and team performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high-quality service to customers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, volunteers, and customers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem-solve and think critically in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Volunteer Management: Experience in managing volunteers, with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team of volunteers.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in establishing links with local businesses, community groups, and individuals to provide donations and volunteer support.
