Job Description

**Job Title:** Health and Safety Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Director to join our team at AWC Staff Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with high-risk projects.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan to ensure the company's safety and compliance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of the company's health and safety management system.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001.
  • Develop and maintain a training program for new starters and existing employees to ensure they are aware of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to operations teams on health and safety matters.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system to ensure the company's safety and compliance.
Essential Competencies:
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate minimum.
  • Good knowledge and application of health and safety in the utilities sector.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Resilient, organized, professional, accepts responsibility, influencing, building relationships.
