Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer at AFI Group of Companies, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the daily operations of our engineering workshop. Your leadership will ensure that our team of engineers operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and streamline the daily activities within the workshop, ensuring that workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.
  • Implement strategic planning to guarantee the availability of machinery for hire, ensuring all equipment is maintained, inspected, and repaired according to established schedules.
  • Conduct hands-on preventive maintenance and thorough inspections of machinery to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Provide support and mentorship to engineering team members, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

We encourage applications from candidates who possess the following qualifications: Senior Engineer, engineering expertise, strategic planning, leadership skills, maintenance knowledge, inspection capabilities, PDI, LOLER certification, NVQ Level 2, heavy plant experience, proficiency in electronic and hydraulic systems, diagnostic skills, effective communication, and CAP knowledge.
