Senior Marine Systems Performance Engineer

A prominent innovator in hydrogen energy and propulsion technologies is in search of a Senior Engineer specializing in Marine systems. This role is pivotal in steering the engineering direction for various marine initiatives.
CompensationSalary:

The Senior Engineer will take charge of the technical evolution of multiple development projects, overseeing all engineering facets of the product, which encompasses:
- Mechanical and electrical design
- System performance analysis (including diesel displacement)
- Adherence to all regulatory standards
In this role, you will aim to achieve a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects related to the design and regulatory compliance of your product. You will also be accountable for the quality assurance of the work produced by designers and support engineers.
Team LeadershipThe Senior Engineer will foster effective communication, motivation, and professional growth within the team, ensuring that technical expertise and skills remain current with marine industry standards and certification requirements.
Project ManagementMoreover, you will oversee the project lifecycle from inception to completion, adhering to all phases of the project gateway process. This includes conducting technical investigations into field issues and proposing viable solutions.
Continuous ImprovementThe Senior Engineer will facilitate project evaluations to embed continuous learning and enhancement into future processes and products.
Budget OversightIn addition, you will monitor project expenditures and product costs, coordinating efforts with necessary stakeholders to ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies relevant to the work areas.
Safety AnalysisYou will lead safety analysis initiatives, including FMEA, HAZID, and HAZOP assessments.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Senior Engineer position will hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Shipbuilding
- Marine Classification
- Hydrogen Technology
- Fuel Cell Development
- Oil and Gas
- CNG & LNG
The Senior Engineer will exhibit strong technical acumen and engineering capabilities, with a proven track record of meeting time, cost, and quality objectives, along with a meticulous attention to detail in technical documentation.
Furthermore, you will have a solid understanding of engineering product development for marine systems and experience with project gateway processes and reporting, showcasing exceptional ownership of technical content communicated to a diverse range of stakeholders.
