We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Derry/Londonderry. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily activities, providing emotional support and promoting independence.
- Work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
- Support individuals with their finances, including paying bills and doing shopping.
- Reduce social isolation by supporting individuals to social groups and activities.
- Provide personal care, including prompting individuals to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
- Use Positive Behaviour Support Strategies to improve individuals' quality of life.
- Caring and patient approach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Full clean driving licence.
We offer a variety of contract options, including full-time and part-time shifts. Our services are 24hr care, and we prepare rotas at least 3-4 weeks in advance to ensure you can plan your personal and social life.
