Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

Are you a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a passion for providing specialized care to vulnerable newborns and their families? Join our dedicated team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional healthcare in our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our unit is equipped to care for a diverse range of neonatal needs, featuring 7 Intensive Care Cots, 5 High Dependency Cots, and 12 Special Care Cots.

Key Responsibilities

Our organization has made significant investments in neonatal staffing to enhance our service delivery and align with BAPM standards regarding nurse-to-baby ratios. This commitment has led to the creation of new positions and the integration of nursery nurses into our team.

You will receive comprehensive support through a tailored induction program, which may include Preceptorship opportunities. Our Practice Educator and Clinical Skills Facilitator are dedicated to assisting you in your professional development, alongside our designated Neonatal Clinical Technologist who will aid in your training.

We encourage you to pursue the Neonatal Intensive Care Course within your first year, enabling you to gain a recognized Specialist Qualification in Neonatal Nursing.

About Our Organization

As one of the largest hospital trusts in England, we serve a population of approximately 800,000 individuals across five hospitals and community clinics. Our mission is to provide 'great healthcare from great people,' and we are guided by our core values: ensuring that every individual feels cared for, safe, respected, and confident in the care we provide. Our innovative approach, termed 'We care,' empowers our frontline staff to drive continuous improvements in patient care.

Application Process

We encourage applicants to compose their own applications, as this document is a crucial component of the assessment process. While assistance is available for those who require support due to a declared disability, the use of artificial intelligence in application submissions may result in rejection.
