Exciting Opportunity for a Data Services Officer

NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Data Services Officer to join the Medicines Management and Optimisation (MMO) Team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the MMO strategy, developing their insight into primary care informatics, and broadening their experience within different healthcare settings.

The MMO team operates core operational hours between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible and agile working practices in place to promote equality and staff well-being.

The ideal candidate will have strong information management and technical skills, with the ability to combine these to support the delivery of a patient-centred medicines optimisation agenda.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Supporting the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of tasks/projects by providing high-quality support, including complex information and analysis, communications, and stakeholder management.
  2. Promoting the utilisation of Microsoft Power Platform software and related options to enhance integration and utilisation of prescribing data across ICB workstreams, contributing towards data and evidence-driven decisions that aim to improve patient care.
  3. Ensuring accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers, and managing specific tasks, leading reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions, and projects.
  4. Being a key member of the team, supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
