ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Lead Process Engineer, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities from the outset. You will collaborate with your discipline team as part of our multidisciplinary engineering group and broader EPCM team.

Your projects will primarily focus on the UK onshore process industry, encompassing sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, and food and beverage.


Your role will involve both office-based work and site visits, depending on project requirements.

You will maintain regular communication with clients and support the Engineering Directors and Process Discipline Manager to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

While we won't enumerate every task, you can expect to:

  • Evaluate and endorse designs, datasheets, engineering outputs, and inquiry documentation for project scopes
  • Conduct technical bid assessments
  • Utilize your technical acumen to enhance operations, boost productivity, and address complex engineering challenges.
  • Manage project changes and formally communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Estimate and oversee project budgets, timelines, and quality standards
  • Provide guidance and support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, LOLER Reports, and DSEAR Assessments, along with P&ID reviews, calculations, and recommendations
CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Chartered Lead Process Engineer or seasoned Process Engineer
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (BEng or MSc)
  • Proven experience in the UK onshore process sector as a Process Engineer or Lead Process Engineer
  • Demonstrated background in UK consultancy, FEED/detailed design, and EPC projects
  • Strong understanding of the essential principles of Process Engineering
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Process Engineering and relevant industry standards
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Client-focused, with the ability to advise on best practices and improvements
  • Local candidates preferred, as relocation assistance is not available
