The Local Government Association is seeking a highly skilled Event Planning Specialist to join our team. As an Event Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating events that align with our strategic priorities.
Main Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination
You will be responsible for researching, recommending, organizing, and coordinating events, including budgeting, resource allocation, risk assessments, and generating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Project ManagementYou will project manage all event logistics, including attending in-person events and online events. For in-person events, this will involve venue setup, signage, audio-visual equipment, and attendee registration. For online events, this will include setting up the webinar platform, facilitating audience registration and sign-in, and providing technical support during the event.
Event Delivery and EvaluationYou will ensure that all events are delivered to a high standard, on budget, and achieve excellent attendance. You will also research and maintain a longlist of relevant external events, conferences, and awards.
Digital Calendar ManagementYou will maintain digital calendars of internal and external events.
Event Concept DevelopmentYou will create compelling event concepts with supporting content that will engage target audiences.
Content CreationYou will amend, design, and create PowerPoint presentations in collaboration with business unit experts and the Marcomms team.
Social Media Content CoordinationYou will coordinate and create engaging social media content with an analytical eye to monitor the success of the work.
About You- Event Planning Experience
You will have proven experience in an event planning role (2 years).
