About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Payroll Lead to join our team at Methods Business and Digital Technology. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our payroll function and ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the payroll team to deliver accurate and timely payroll processing for circa 2,000 colleagues across the UK
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, including GDPR and UK payroll laws
  • Develop and maintain group payroll controls and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Manage payroll vendors, including cost, contract, and performance management to required SLAs/KPIs
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes, system upgrades, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Liaise with Finance and Human Resources to drive payroll compliance and reporting
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven experience as a group payroll manager or similar role
  • Experience using ADP Payroll platform
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
  • Excellent understanding of payroll and taxes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel
