Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team at WCS Group. As a key member of our Shared Services Purchase Ledger Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the accurate processing of purchase invoices across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Purchase Ledger Clerks with the accurate processing of purchase invoices, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Update the query log with issues linked to the non-approval of invoices for payment, maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor the Purchase Ledger mailboxes and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner, providing excellent customer service to suppliers and internal teams.
- Assist the Team with the reconciliation of statements, resolving debit balances and Direct Debit allocations as required.
- Perform other administrative duties as required by the Purchase Ledger Team, including opening and distributing the Finance post.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but we also welcome applications from individuals looking to move into a Finance environment as their first role.
- Experience using SAGE is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and ability to flex between work as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Competent user of Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
