Job Title: Youth Outreach Worker

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Outreach Worker. This exciting role will involve working with young people, local schools, and businesses to deliver a comprehensive project that benefits the community in the London borough of Hounslow.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop positive relationships with young people through various youth work styles and methodologies.
  • Deliver youth outreach across key high streets in Hounslow, engaging with young people and challenging poor behavior choices.
  • Work closely with the Changing Directions Lead to support local businesses in engaging with young people, reducing incidents of crime and anti-social behavior.
  • Assist in the delivery of weekly sessions at facilities near each high street, along with assemblies in local schools and educational workshops.
  • Facilitate and encourage young people to access internal and external programs in line with their needs and interests, providing positive exit pathways.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in youth work, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Understanding of and ability to deliver good quality outreach support.
  • Empathetic and able to understand the needs of young people with complex backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of building positive relationships with vulnerable, 'hard to reach' young people.
  • Commitment to diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusivity.
  • Safeguarding qualification.
  • Current DBS certificate.
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate.

  • Builds positive relationships easily, especially with young people.
  • Provides a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment supporting goals and aspirations.
  • Believes all young people can achieve their potential and shows a commitment to working with those who face barriers and challenges.
