HIV Prevention Key Account Manager - ViiV Healthcare
Location: focus on Greater London area and South, UK, Field Based
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment.
Job Purpose
The HIV Prevention Key Account Manager is a new headcount for ViiV UK specifically responsible for the commercial field activities to support pre-launch planning, launch and uptake within the HIV and sexual health market post marketing authorisation and reimbursement in the UK (with a priority focus on Greater London & South). Working closely with the cross functional Brand Team and field multi-skilled team they will have several core elements to their role, outlined below.
Accountable for appropriate pre-licence activities in accordance with internal and external compliance framework
Accountable for generating appropriate use of ViiV licensed assets in sexual health services and specialty outreach programmes by providing Health Care Professionals (HCPs) with highly credible and engaging interactions on our promoted medicines.
Accountable for the development and maintenance of strategic account plans to support the appropriate use of our medicines, working with other field colleagues in line with ways of working guidelines. Act as the focal point of contact within the accounts overall, introducing other cross functional team members to the local clinical and payer customers as appropriate (e.g Medical off label reactive requests) and ensuring overall ViiV coordination for a seamless customer experience.
Please note, candidates need to be living in the territory, to be able to cover London, and the South of England effectively.
In this role you will be responsible for
Post Reimbursement:
- Commercially focused conversations, to include clinical and access, delivered in a highly qualified and engaging manner using clinical and access materials provided. Customers to include Professors, Consultants, Specialty Registrars Clinical Nurse Specialists, Pharmacists, Health Advisors and other health and social care professionals within sexual health and HIV prevention services.
- Work closely with all internal stakeholders as part of the key account management process to ensure a seamless customer interface - to include multiskilled team colleagues and Key Account Managers responsible for other ViiV products working in the same accounts.
- Lead on the coordination and account management of activities in the priority hospital/centres. Collaborate with the multi-skilled team to monitor the execution of the plan and the KPIs.
- Work with the Medical Affairs Manager, Senior Brand Manager and inform the External Expert Engagement Manager to develop and implement the prevention External Expert (EE) engagement plan, helping to develop and mobilise advocates at a local level and ensure the account plan supports the delivery of the EE plan.
- Deliver omnichannel approach to implement plans across face-to-face, digital, and multimedia touchpoints.
- Support the implementation of pilot projects and the cascade of best practice.
- Deliver against performance objectives, KPIs and account plans with an agreed budget. Utilising business acumen to analyse insights, sales data and market research and set strategic direction in accounts.
- Operate and deliver commercial objectives in line with ViiV values and compliance framework.

- Degree level - life science or similar
- Ability to employ a key account management approach in working in sexual health services and/or hospitals/centres
- Ability to influence NHS customers
- Demonstration of excellent NHS knowledge and understanding including the sexual health commissioning landscape
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

- Sexual Health, HIV prevention or HIV experience - desirable not essential
- Proven ability to interact with customers
- Excellence in brand selling to specialist and secondary care centres
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Ability to project manage
- Ability to work in a complex environment
- Ability to adapt and maintain skills in a rapidly changing environment
