About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development and implementation of new technology and services at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the radiotherapy department, ensuring patients receive treatment within national and local targets.
  • Promote high standards of professional practice and high-quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure new techniques, equipment, and technology are implemented in a safe manner, along with the competencies and training of clinical staff.
  • Provide expert advice, support, and guidance to radiographers and other professional groups in the multidisciplinary team.
  • Plan and promote continuous improvement in service delivery, quality, and efficiency, adhering to best practice, Trust, and National guidelines.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing staff
  • Evidence of highly specialist skills
  • Previous experience of supervision and clinical education
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in producing and implementing departmental guidelines and protocols
Desirable Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Management qualification / postgraduate experience in a team leader / management role
  • Research experience / clinical trials
