Role Overview: This position is situated within the Sheltered Housing Schemes throughout the City of Sheffield, specifically focusing on the Older Persons Independent Living Service.
We are looking for a dedicated Neighbourhood Officer to enhance our established team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of housing responsibilities while providing a responsive service to a diverse and expanding client base across numerous schemes in the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including occasional out-of-hours commitments as required by the schemes.
- Manage individual workloads effectively while collaborating as a vital member of the team.
- Utilize strong IT skills and housing knowledge to meet the needs of older individuals and vulnerable adults.
- Facilitate activities aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation among residents.
- Implement a person-centered approach to housing management and support services.
- Collaborate with other services to assist older, vulnerable adults in maintaining their tenancies.
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of customer care, signposting, and collaborative working. It is crucial to maintain professional boundaries with tenants. A full clean driving license is desirable but not mandatory.
