JOB TITLE: Water Technician

LOCATIONS: TFL London Underground Estate

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 8 Hour Shifts (8-5)

SALARY: £30,000 per annum

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

The Water Technician will execute the scheduled responsibilities as assigned by the L8 Water Compliance Supervisor, delivering technical support and assistance as needed by both the supervisor and other team members to ensure that all activities, whether planned or reactive, are completed in accordance with the contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks and asset servicing to SFG20 standards, ensuring all inspections and assignments are completed satisfactorily.
  • Regularly communicate the progress of work to the L8 Water Compliance Supervisor and maintain the contract to ensure all tasks are completed within the specified time frame.
  • Review all service and report documentation for accuracy before forwarding.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed punctually in compliance with legal statutory requirements and company procedures, communicating key concerns in a timely manner.
  • Uphold Health and Safety standards and practices at all times in alignment with both ABM and client HSQE policies and guidelines, reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Coordinate with the supervisor as necessary during the planning of scheduled and reactive activities to ensure efficient planning is achieved, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.
  • Establish positive working relationships with other team members and provide guidance to support learning and development, thereby strengthening the team and maximizing performance.
  • Assist and support the operational engineering function while also performing operational maintenance duties, including aiding the management team in customer-focused tasks and inspections, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations for all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain a client and public-facing demeanor, adhering to good conduct and code of practice at all times. Keep site files organized to ensure all policies, risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments are readily available for review during planned inspections, manager site safety visits, and client HSQE evaluations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Water Regulations (WRAS)

Basic Plumbing / Water Knowledge is essential

Hot water systems and safety training (Part G3 Building Regulations)

Desirable:

City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 Plumbing
