About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Programme Director to lead our Science Policy, Research, and Methods and Economics programmes. As a key member of our Science, Evidence and Analytics (SEA) Directorate, you will play a critical role in shaping our research agenda and methods for developing guidance for the health and care system in England and Wales.

Main Responsibilities
  • Methods: Develop and implement new and updated methods to ensure the robustness and efficiency of our guidance production processes.
  • Research: Lead a programme of research using external funding to maintain our international leadership and influence in methods, including grant-funded projects and collaborations.
  • Economics: Provide professional leadership for our NICE Health Economics community.
Requirements
  • Doctorate and further specialist training or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training/development.
  • Postgraduate qualification in health economics.
  • Experience of a senior management role in a complex environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage complex projects involving multidisciplinary functions and deliver work of a high standard with conflicting and demanding deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen to support growth in externally funded research and policy activities and to support the implementation of robust business processes.
