About the Role

The University of Stirling is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AV Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our AV team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Audio Visual facilities across the campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the IT support function for AV related incidents and service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Support the AV Team Leader in the continuous development and improvement of AV services and facilities, including the design and implementation of AV solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with users, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in all spoken and written communications.
  • Maintain accurate records in the ITSM platform and other systems or databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Contribute to the operations of the IT Service Desk, including training and supporting colleagues, and undertaking regular shifts to maintain knowledge of the IT support function.
Requirements
  • Substantial technical AV knowledge and a wide-ranging understanding of all types of AV equipment relevant to the role.
  • Experience of providing technical support during teaching and conference events, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of basic network services and protocols relevant to modern AV systems, including AVOIP.
  • Demonstrable experience of writing formal documentation, including user support materials, and communicating across a broad range of channels.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service and working in a team environment.
Desirable Criteria
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as Control system programming or Avixa CTS qualification.
  • Experience of working in a second-line AV support role, with a helpdesk ticketing system, and digital signage system.
  • Experience of working in Higher Education and understanding of the sector's specific AV requirements.
