About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Team Leader in Critical Care and Respiratory Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist therapy input to planning, development, and evaluation of clinical services within Critical Care, Acute Respiratory Care Unit, and Surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership and management of therapy staff, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and support and development.
  • Manage an appropriate clinical caseload of patients with complex needs within a defined specialism/area.
  • Take a lead role in the training of qualified and support staff, students, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the overall maintenance and development of the therapy service.
  • Work a shift pattern flexibly over a 7-day period across multiple locations, including weekends and extended hours as required by service demand.

Requirements
  • BSc/MSc Physiotherapy qualification.
  • MCSP and State Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, including post-graduate courses.
  • Advanced respiratory courses and leadership experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • MSc in respiratory care or intention to achieve.
  • Audit experience and computer literacy.
  • Experience of managing assistants/technicians and supervising students.
