Restaurant Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Team Leader to join our team at Solent Hotel & Spa. As a Restaurant Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our busy hotel restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving and Leading: You will be responsible for serving food and drinks, taking orders, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: You will be responsible for managing and developing the skills of your team, ensuring that staff levels on shift meet payroll budgets and that the team is motivated to provide exceptional service.
  • Operational Management: You will be responsible for taking control of rotas, ensuring that the right people are on shift to handle the level of business, and managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Problem-Solving: You will be the point of call for any management issues and will be responsible for resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Leadership: You will be responsible for motivating your team to provide exceptional service and leading by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Experience: You will need to have previous experience of working in a busy restaurant with exposure to supervisory or management duties.
  • Skills: You will need to be proactive, able to work well under pressure, and have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility: You will need to be flexible with the times you can work, as our business is open all day every day.
