Your responsibilities will include strategizing and executing long-term initiatives on site.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Operations Manager:

  • Overseeing the engineering teams on site, ensuring that all organizational and departmental goals are met.
  • Managing budgetary allocations, including costs associated with engineering maintenance, projects, labor, contracts, and supplies.
  • Reducing downtime by leading the engineering team in root cause analysis and addressing persistent faults and technical challenges.
  • Fostering team development to ensure optimal performance and identifying pathways for succession planning.
  • Setting a positive example and actively working to enhance employee engagement, cultivating a proactive work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with essential metrics related to Health & Safety, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), product quality, and financial plans.
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement, consistently seeking innovative and efficient operational methods.

Qualifications for the Technical Operations Manager:

  • Experience in leading engineering teams within a food production environment, ideally in chilled products.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering capital expenditure projects.
  • Proven track record of driving organizational change, enhancing performance, and meeting key performance indicators.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with colleagues across various departments to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) is advantageous.
  • Health & Safety oriented, with experience in environmental or energy efficiency initiatives.
