About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Administrator to join our team at Crooton. As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient running of our high-quality care home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the General Manager, managing customer experience elements, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance, and supervising junior members of the administration team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Positive Environment: Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage Enquiries and Show Rounds: Handle prospective family inquiries, manage the customer database, and support commercial performance and conversion of enquiries.
  • Drive Occupancy and Reputation: Contribute to a community engagement team to drive occupancy and reputation of the care home.
  • Support Residents and Families: Manage feedback with a focus on customer care, supporting residents and families.
  • Recruitment and Payroll: Assist with recruitment, complete employment new starter checks, and arrange inductions. Complete payroll preparation for home-based staff.
  • HR and Employee Support: Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR queries, ensure personal files are stored securely, and attend meetings to produce accurate notes and minutes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts, update staff records, and offer guidance on staff development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
  • HR Administration and Recruitment: Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient user of Microsoft, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CIPD Qualification: CIPD qualification would be beneficial.
