Security Officer/Porter Job Description

Wilson James is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer/Porter to join our team at one of London's largest art galleries. As a key member of our Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients and employees.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our premises, including the loading bay, BOH areas, and galleries.
  • Utilize correct manual handling techniques to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Carry out quality checks and report any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Organize porter tasks to avoid congestion and maintain a clean environment.
  • Challenge any unauthorized persons entering restricted areas and report concerns to the Control Room.
Requirements:
  • Physical ability to carry out duties, including manual handling tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and discretion.
