In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with delivering essential financial guidance to our LGE division.

As an integral member of the LGE Finance team, you will collaborate closely with the LGE division to provide comprehensive project financial reporting, enabling a clear understanding of the financial health of various initiatives.

You will also play a vital role in supporting the growth objectives of Babcock's Marine Division through active participation in business forecasting.

Establishing strong, collaborative relationships with the LGE leadership team will be crucial as you provide monthly project oversight, reporting, and variance analysis.

Additionally, you will oversee the month-end processes for LGE, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables related to projects, particularly focusing on the calculation of IFRS15 Revenue Recognition.

Engaging in monthly performance reviews with operational teams will be essential to discuss project outcomes and to challenge assumptions where necessary.

You will be responsible for delivering all monthly balance sheet reconciliations associated with projects and will regularly review these with key stakeholders.

Furthermore, you will manage the financial forecasts and budgets for all projects, including monthly rolling forecasts and the annual budgeting process, along with any ad hoc forecasting needs.

You will also undertake additional tasks to support a dynamic and evolving business environment.
Essential Qualifications for the Lead Project Accountant:

Exceptional communication abilities, including the capacity to convey clear and concise financial information.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret and manipulate data, including advanced Excel proficiency.
Solid technical accounting expertise.

Experience in a similar project accounting role, particularly within organizations managing long-term contracts, will be advantageous.

This is a full-time position offering hybrid working arrangements, requiring a presence on-site for part of the week.


Qualifications Required:
Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA or ACCA), with demonstrable post-qualification experience.
