As a Youth Support Specialist in a Residential Care setting, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate of up to £15.50
Work Schedule:
Flexible hours ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week, with variations each week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Safeguarding and Welfare:**
- Uphold the safety and well-being of young residents by consistently reviewing and updating their risk assessments.
- Take proactive measures to ensure a secure living environment.
2. **Risk Management:**
- Identify, document, and report any potential risks or child protection issues in line with established policies and regulations.
3. **Personal Development:**
- Collaborate with young individuals to understand their needs for enhancing physical, emotional, behavioral, and social resilience.
4. **Care Plan Implementation:**
- Ensure adherence to each young person's care plan, making necessary updates to reflect their evolving needs.
- Actively engage in achieving the objectives outlined in the care plans.
Target Group:
This role focuses on supporting young people who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to, adverse childhood experiences, mental health challenges, and behavioral difficulties.
