EMEA Asset Servicing COO Oversight Manager

The RoleThe EMEA Asset Servicing COO Oversight Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance and oversight of Custody Operations in the region. This includes the proactive support of the EMEA Asset Servicing COO SMF 24 in executing oversight responsibilities for Custody Operations, with a focus on Risk & Operational Resiliency.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure governance structures remain appropriate for the oversight of Custody Operations and SMR obligations for UK legal entities.
- Align Senior Management oversight process with formal governance processes.
- Provide adequate oversight and support to the accountable SMF 24 for Custody Operations.
- Oversee and challenge plans and actions designed to test and improve Operational Resiliency of Important Business Services.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and actionable reporting to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Oversight of management information and reporting, ensuring relevance to the business environment and governance.
- Liaise closely with individuals with similar roles in EMEA to share best practice and maintain consistency.
- Interact and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, especially the PRA/FCA.
- Maintain a good level of knowledge of risk and regulatory environment applicable to the business.
- Work closely with senior leadership across the enterprise to support the continued maturation of the control environment.
- Oversee and sponsor key initiatives, including business and regulatory change.
- Maintain oversight of projects and initiatives relevant to Important Business Services.
- Participate in development of strategic plans, goals, and priorities based on the direction set for the business.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive risk, regulatory, technical, business, and/or industry knowledge. They will possess excellent critical and creative thinking, decision-making, and innovative problem-solving skills.
