Job Description

About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive community. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive tailored support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment, fostering a culture of respect and understanding.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, including communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents to ensure seamless communication.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential.
