About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Thurlow Church of England (VC) Primary School. The successful candidate will provide support to a small number of pupils with special educational needs in Reception and Key Stage 1, working closely with the teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, adapting to their unique needs and abilities
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that all materials and resources are accessible and inclusive
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support pupil progress and achievement
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among pupils
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns or issues that may arise
