Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Westfield Primary Academy. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, particularly those with special educational needs.

About the Role

This is a part-time, permanent position, working 37 weeks per year, with a salary of Grade 3 Spinal Point 4 (£23,114 FTE, £17,225 actual). The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the learning and development of students with special educational needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
  • Provide personalized learning experiences to students with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up materials and equipment.
  • Support students with their daily routines, including meal times and break times.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in teaching or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Good English and maths skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
