Job Summary

With over 35 years of experience in shaping global communication, Inmarsat delivers critical voice, data, and video services to governments, militaries, and businesses worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the adoption of project lifecycle and deliverables
  • Coordinate programme-level risk and issue management
  • Monitor project status and ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate project governance arrangements
  • Assist Programme Manager in maintaining project management processes and standards
  • Provide project support, including ensuring project plans and documentation are complete and up-to-date
  • Implement governance standards across the programme
  • Manage programme-level risk and issue registers
  • Carry out assurance review processes as required
Planning, Reporting & Control
  • Ensure project plans are created and maintained, and deliverables tracked against time
  • Update and administer project plans as required
  • Prepare consolidated material from project reports for review
  • Organise workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects
Programme Management Specialist Responsibilities when Providing Project Support
  • Assist Project Managers on large projects
  • Coordinate publication, review, and sign-off of major project management deliverables
  • Ensure project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change control
Requirements
  • Formal PM certification (Prince2, Agile, or other PM-specific qualification)
  • Experience of managing small projects or exposure to the end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Experience of working within a structured project management framework
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages (MS Project, Excel)
  • Ability to challenge constructively and have an eye for detail
