Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our clients, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients with mental health needs, including assistance with daily living tasks, cooking, and household chores.
- Assist clients with social activities, appointments, and outings, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in mental health care, preferably in a support worker or care assistant role.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure and ability to work with vulnerable adults.
- Male applicants only, due to the specific needs of our clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to commit to long-term care for one client, with a person-centered approach.
