Job Title: Children and Young People Lead

Westgate Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to take full ownership of our HR function.

About the Role

We are looking for a candidate with experience and skills to implement strong processes and governance, and to understand and comply with our regulatory requirements, such as those that fall under the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Home Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the HR function across the group, leading the HR team, care homes, and guiding senior management.
  • Oversee HR generalist areas such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, policy implementation, compliance, mentoring, employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and learning and development.
  • Audit key HR processes and compliance areas in the group.
  • Optimise the use of technology to enhance HR efficiencies.
  • Balance hands-on daily tasks with strategic HR planning.
  • Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures in line with changes in practice or legislation.
  • Lead and implement projects, including developing company values and value-based recruitment tools.
Requirements
  • Possess a full CIPD HR qualification (Level 7 preferred) or a higher HR qualification.
  • Relevant experience with a proven track record in leading an HR function and delivering positive results.
  • A caring, flexible, and responsive attitude, with the drive to take accountability, innovate, and achieve results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
