About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our Event Day Steward team at London Stadium. As an Event Day Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff during events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with conditions of entry and safety regulations.
  • Control and direct spectators while monitoring crowd movement and preventing overcrowding.
  • Communicate effectively with spectators, including managing conflict and queue management.
  • Identify and report potential hazards and conduct safety checks.
  • Staff entrances, exits, and secure them in the open position while the ground is in use.
  • Undertake specific duties in an emergency or as directed by the Safety Officer or their team.
  • Accurately describe and record incidents for future reference.
  • Be confident and competent in the use of technology and aids supplied by management.
  • Offer fans and guests an exceptional matchday experience.
Requirements

You must hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) in Spectator Safety qualification to be considered for this role. Suitable candidates should be smart, friendly, and confident when dealing with members of the public.

Benefits

We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles pay at least the London Living Wage. We pay our casual workers fortnightly, and you will only have to wait a maximum of two weeks to be paid for shifts. We have a wide range of events, from West Ham United football to concerts and athletics, offering a lot of variety and flexibility in your work schedule.
