SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a popular school in Hampton. The successful candidate will work closely with a KS1 student with mild ASD, providing essential support and communication assistance throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the pupil with their academic work and daily activities
- Assist the teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Provide behaviour and learning support to the student
- Uphold the values and policies of the school
- Contribute to the set up and set down of the classroom
- Ensure high levels of health and safety are maintained
About the Role:
This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future. The successful candidate will be required to undergo safeguarding checks and hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and training for the role
- Ability to work with students with ASD and other special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
