Head Receptionist

Location: The Elms Dental Practice, Northampton

Full time

The ideal candidate will have experience in dental reception and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for every patient, welcoming them in and ensuring they have a great experience. You will work closely with the team to build trust and deliver exceptional patient care.

You will be responsible for managing the diaries, making sure the time is filled correctly, and working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
  • Managing the diaries and making sure that the time is filled correctly
  • Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
  • Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
  • Taking payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
  • Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations

Key skills and experience:

  • Ability to easily build rapport, and work to a high level of customer service
  • Ability and passion to build your knowledge of treatment options within the dental sector
  • Passionate about driving the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
  • Able to follow processes and work in a structured and organised way
  • Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture and rebooking)
  • IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
  • Positive nature - Able to show resilience and always work in a composed manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An excellent team player
