Our client is seeking an Electrical Cost Estimator who will manage projects from the initial client inquiry through to detailed pricing and proposal preparation. This role involves interpreting specifications and drawings, conducting site assessments, and producing comprehensive pricing structures for various electrical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform take-offs from technical drawings and assess project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to establish scopes of work with current clients.
- Define technical requirements and evaluate project feasibility.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations that align with project needs.
- Prepare detailed tender submissions for projects ranging from £25k to £2m.
- Oversee the tendering process to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines prior to project handover.
- Participate in mid and post-tender discussions and manage post-tender activities.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of estimation experience within the electrical contracting sector, with additional knowledge in fit-out estimation preferred.
- A relevant degree or HND in Construction.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent negotiation abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
- 20 days of annual leave plus public holidays, increasing to 25 days with service.
