About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at PACC. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations and data analysis.
  • Develop detailed structural designs using a range of software and hand calculations.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare contract documents, manage tenders, and resolve design and development problems.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including CDM2015, Party Wall, and Listed Buildings.
  • Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
  • Contribute to the company's marketing objectives, targets, and initiatives.
  • Assist the director with training and development of the engineering team.
  • Inspect and supervise construction work on site, prepare interim and final accounts, and manage claims and practical completion.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Structural Engineering degree (Hons) or equivalent.
  • Extensive working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, and planning practices and procedures.
  • Experience in negotiation, supervisory, and leadership roles.
  • Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets on large-scale projects.
  • Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills.
  • Ability to think methodically and manage projects.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
