Job Summary

You will be responsible for driving and operating large refuse collection vehicles, ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste in the Glasgow area. This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate large refuse collection vehicles, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collect and transport waste to designated facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to the community.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in waste management and vehicle operation.

Requirements

  • Current LGV Licence, Category C
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Ability to work a 4 on/ 4 off shift pattern, including weekends
  • Physical fitness to perform the demands of the role

Working Conditions

The role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
