Operations Manager Job Description

Axis Technology & Development is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the Director with day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficiency and safety in daily operations to meet project timelines and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage various personnel working on projects
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility
  • Understand project scope by liaising with the Director and other key personnel
  • Create schedules of work and organize tasks for each department
  • Ensure team members have necessary documentation, tools, and training
  • Work with the Purchasing & Stock Team to manage purchases and achieve customer expectations
  • Deal with Subcontractor issues and supplier management
  • Manage Shipping schedules and Travel schedules
  • Organize Monday meetings and deal with any issues raised
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and communication with customers
Person Specification:
  • Previous Operations Management experience (ideally 5 years or more)
  • Familiarity with contract documentation
  • Demonstrable engineering expertise
  • People management experience
  • Supplier management experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of general Health and Safety regulations
