Role Overview:

The Principal Proposals Engineer (Part-time) will be tasked with crafting and coordinating the technical aspects of bids and proposals for various project phases, including Studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design. The successful candidate will support the UK Engineering and Projects Leadership Team, collaborating with our Proposals team to produce high-quality technical content and integrate inputs from Engineering Disciplines and Management into client proposals.

The Principal Proposals Engineer will report to the Group Manager of Project Engineering Management and the UK Engineering Proposals Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical contributions to bids and proposals, working closely with the Engineering Management Team and the Global Proposals Function.
  • Engage in the planning and scheduling of Engineering & Technical inputs for our bids and proposals.
  • Monitor contributions, ensuring consistency and accuracy, while maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Encourage participation from engineering team members in fulfilling their work scopes and proactively address any arising issues.
  • Possess the capability to draft technical bids with support from colleagues; prior experience is advantageous, and a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ensure adherence to Kent's ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan, and Design Integrity processes, as well as compliance with other accredited frameworks.
  • Perform related tasks as directed by the Direct Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineering Managers for their technical input and feedback.
  • Manage the production of technical inputs for bids and proposals across the entire project lifecycle, integrating contributions from various offices, engineering disciplines, procurement, project controls, and external parties.
  • Plan and manage personal workload, with decision-making limited to what is delegated by the Direct Supervisor.
  • Primarily work from the Main Office, dedicating time to planning, coordination, and meetings, with potential travel to other offices and client sites as required.
  • Our team is expected to work in the office a minimum of three days a week to foster a positive team culture.
  • Generate high-quality technical content and coordinate inputs from Engineering Disciplines and Management into client proposals.
