We are seeking an experienced ER Advisor to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As an ER Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the ER agenda in a fair, impartial, and consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities- Support the ER Manager and P&C Advisory team in responding to ER case work/queries and use risk analysis and initiative to anticipate potential issues.
- Be the first point of contact for HR policy/ER advice queries and facilitate early resolution of ER issues.
- Establish strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders to support the ER agenda and upskill management in essential ER and Policy requirements.
- Proactively manage all ER case types, balancing wellbeing and commerciality to ensure the best approach is taken.
- Provide up-to-date UK Employment Law advice to managers and partners, minimizing any legal risk to the business.
- Provide expert and up-to-date knowledge to all team members on HR policies and procedures and employment law processes as applicable.
- Play a lead role in conjunction with HR Business Partners on consultation and restructuring processes, advising on redundancy processes, consultation meetings, and written communication to affected employees.
- Assist in the compilation of reports on HR/ER activity, highlighting areas of concern and working with the relevant member of the People & Culture team to implement measures to address these concerns.
- Work proactively in raising management skills of line managers through the preparation and design of HR management briefing sessions, assisting with delivery and other scheduled training sessions.
- Participate in the update and revision of HR Policies, guidance, and document templates as requested.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of change management: re-organisations, restructuring, acquisitions, and TUPE in a multi-site business.
- Experience of managing complex ER matters at all levels, across different disciplines and industries.
- Depth of employment law knowledge based on a mixture of academic qualifications, significant experience, and demonstrable continuous personal development.
- Relationship management skills: negotiating and influencing skills, adept at handling difficult individuals to gain positive and constructive outcomes.
- Effective communicator with excellent report writing and presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and a real eye for detail.
- Able to articulate the benefits of good ER in a way that translates into real business results and benefits.
- Curiosity around technology, creativity, and innovation, good data analytics experience, and the ability to generate insight through systems and tools.
- Strong communicator and influencer who takes the time to truly understand key stakeholders and the needs of their clients and takes the appropriate action to support the strategic goals of the business.
