Activity and Wellbeing Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Activity and Wellbeing Lead at Runwood Homes. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on and deliver high-quality meaningful activity for all residents, ensuring their dignity and self-esteem are enhanced through positive relationships and free expression of individuality.
- Ensure residents living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
- Stimulate excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents, fostering a positive and supportive community environment.
- Promote and develop mealtimes as highlights of the day, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Establish and maintain excellent community links, building relationships with local organizations and services to enhance resident experiences.
Requirements:
- A positive forward-thinking approach, with the ability to enthuse and guide others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and residents.
- Care home experience is an advantage, as is any previous experience of providing activity or leading others.
- Assertiveness and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
