Controls Systems Engineer

About the Role:
Matchtech Technology is seeking a dedicated Controls Systems Engineer to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual with a proven background in the automation and controls industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical liaison from project inception through to completion.
- Engage in project initiation and system architecture, including Safety Integrity Level (SIL) classification and project scheduling.
- Oversee or execute detailed design tasks, including the development of function block programming.
- Conduct internal evaluations and lead the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Manage on-site installations and perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Formalize project closure processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a comparable position within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or automation sectors.
- Proficient understanding of PLC programming and control systems.
- Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing and instrumentation.
- A minimum of an HNC qualification in an engineering or process-related discipline.
- Possession of a valid UK driving license.
