About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Snr Principal Waste Consultant to join our UK Team in Springfield, supporting Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality technical projects, producing exceptional results and collaborating with both independent and team-based approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address complex radioactive waste management issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of the radioactive waste management lifecycle to align approaches across projects and national policies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong customer focus, building and nurturing client relationships.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Significant proven experience in radioactive waste management, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
  • Able to prioritize based on business needs and lead on certain projects.
