Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working with Severfield, a leading specialist structural steelwork company in the UK, to fill the position of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team in the Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working for a business that prides itself on quality and innovation, with unparalleled expertise in critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
- Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
- Manage variations and changes with customers
- Work as part of an experienced commercial team
- Develop key relationships with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
- Construction industry experience in a commercial role
- Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence
- An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
- Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
