Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in the Nuclear and Infrastructure division of Severfield, the largest specialist structural steelwork group in the UK.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects, with a focus on high-value and critical infrastructure projects. This will involve:
- Commercial Management: Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects, including managing variations and changes with customers.
- Contract Management: Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account.
- Relationship Building: Developing key relationships with a range of high-profile clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS, with a strong background in construction industry experience in a commercial role.
- Contract Knowledge: Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Desirable Skills: An understanding of fabrication processes and experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business.
