Procurement VP Opportunity at MUFG

Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for driving cost savings and process efficiency? We're seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Procurement to join our team at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG).

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic thinker who can lead our procurement function and drive business growth through cost savings and process improvements. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing outsourced functions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and process efficiency
  • Manage outsourced procurement and accounts payable functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure effectiveness
Requirements
  • Proven experience (5 years) in procurement and accounts payable management, preferably in a multinational corporation or outsourcing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve objectives
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
