Executive Chef Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our catering team at Spire Cardiff.
About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the catering and hostess functions of the hospital, delivering a customer-focused, five-star experience to patients, consultants, and colleagues. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the kitchen, restaurant, and ward hostess team
- Maintaining a 5-star food rating
- Effectively managing and planning day-to-day catering
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Responsible for Food Safety Standards
- Ensuring Allergen controls are strictly followed
- Active hands-on chef role
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Previous experience in a managerial position in a hospital/healthcare environment
- Experience in a fast-paced environment to high quality standards
- City and Guilds or equivalent qualification
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
- Advanced qualification/s in Food Hygiene or a relevant catering qualification
- Ability to adapt menus to meet special dietary requirements
- Experience of managing a budget – desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
